Bubba Jax Crab Shack Reviews

Visiting from New Jersey, my husband and I are on a road trip up the East Coast from Florida, and we decided to stop at Bubba Jax after seeing all the great Yelp reviews--it definitely lived up to the hype! I ordered the fried green tomatoes and gator tails, and omg--wow! Both were absolutely amazing. The remoulade sauce was spicy and delicious, the perfect complement. I also got a peach wine slushy mixed with one other flavor (full disclosure: I forgot the name), but it was incredible too! Super easy stop off the highway with prompt, friendly, and fast service. Highly recommend!

Quick convenient right off the interstate. Wasn't really expecting much bout was pleasantly surprised with the freshness and quality of the fried calamari appetizer and crab-cake dinner. Definitely worth pulling off the interstate for!

Yum and fairly priced. Shrimp are amazing! Love the gator and fried green tomatoes too!

Service A plus very friendly and knowledgeable waitress Speed excellent she was right on it as were the rest of the staff Food was good for the price

We came in tonight and tried the crawfish special and Bubba's bacon cheeseburger. The $12.99 crawfish special had 2 options: 1. 1/2 pound of crawfish that is served with corn on a cob, sausage, boiled red potatoes, and melted butter. 2. 1 pound of crawfish that is served with melted butter I opted for the first choice which has both crawfish and a few other items on my plate, which turned out to be a very wise choice as the crawfish was a bit salty for my taste and they really don't have much much meat inside their big shells, so I actually enjoyed eating the red potatoes, the corn on the cob, and the sausage more. The bacon on the cheeseburger wasn't crispy enough so we actually pulled most of it out of the burger, and the hamburger bun would have tasted better if it were toasted. The best was the gumbo which came in the sizes: full meal size or half size in a bowl. I opted for the half size which came with 2 small pieces of garlic toast that was delicious. The gumbo is not on the menu as it is seasonal, so I am glad I had noticed "gumbo is back" on the board by the entrance and ordered it tonight.

Fun and easy to enjoy! Seat yourself and order sime fresh seafood. Everything we tried was tasty, from Crabcakes & Fried Shrimp to the Boiled Red Potatoes. The sweet tea is really good, too! Seat yourself and enjoy the quick service. Loved it!

Yummy, yummy, yummy! I found Bubba Jax on Yelp, as we were driving from Florida into Georgia. It's really warm and we had Daisy with us, so we needed somewhere to eat with outside seating. I had Oysters Rockefeller which was perfect for my low carb diet. Bacon, cheese, butter and Spinach atop a delectable oyster. Delish! Dave had the seafood platter, fried oysters, blackened shrimp, corn on the cob and onion rings. All very good! So if you're heading north, Bubba Jax is located conveniently near I-75. We love supporting local community businesses wherever we are!

This was the biggest surprise! Just a little house with a big front porch and a bunch of rocking chairs on it. Inside you'll find the cutest little place with a lot of TVs to watch your sports programs. The staff is so friendly and the food comes out really quick. The low country boil melts in your mouth. I love this little place.
